The proposal — everything it covers
- A written contract from the certified Interlock installer for your part of the Island — their price, their start and completion dates, their Nassau or Suffolk licence number on the paperwork, as New York's home-improvement law requires
- Your profile and color options walked through on your actual roof
- The deck, underlayment, ice-and-water detailing at the eaves and attic ventilation covered in the proposal, not just the panels — ice dams start with heat loss through the deck
- What the permit involves: the installer pulls it with your town or village under their own licence
- The Guardian Lifetime Limited Warranty terms — including the one-time transfer and the exclusions — in plain English
- A straight answer on your address: Nassau and Suffolk counties only — the five boroughs, Westchester and upstate are not served
Who holds the licence — the certified independent installer assigned to your project, not the program. Their Nassau or Suffolk home-improvement licence number is on the contract; check it with Nassau County Consumer Affairs or Suffolk County Consumer Affairs before you sign anything.

The installer's contract, in writing
A written contract from the installer, with their county licence number on it — verify it with Nassau County or Suffolk County Consumer Affairs before you sign. The contract is between you and the installer, and New York requires your deposit to be held in escrow or bonded. Take the time you need to decide.
No-pressure, on paper: no expiring "sign tonight" discounts. The installer's written proposal stands while you compare, think, and decide — and the contract, when you are ready, is directly between you and them.
